Smart Column Cleaner — Terms of Service

Effective date: 2025-12-04

These Terms govern your use of Smart Column Cleaner, a Google Sheets add-on provided by Tech Speckles (“we,” “us”). By installing or using the add-on, you agree to these Terms.

1) The Service

The add-on cleans values in the selection of your current spreadsheet (e.g., Trim Whitespace, Convert Case, Remove Non-ASCII/Emoji, De-Duplicate). Processing runs inside Google Apps Script using least-privilege scopes.

2) Accounts & Licensing

• You may sign in in the sidebar (Google/Firebase) so we can show license/usage state.
• Free tier: up to 300 cells/day per user (fair-use & technical limits apply).
• Pro plans: subscription grants a personal, non-transferable license to premium features while your plan is active.

3) Billing, Cancellations & Refunds

• Payments are processed by PayPal; we don’t store card/bank details.
• Plans renew automatically until cancelled in PayPal; access downgrades to Free at the end of the paid period.
• Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable; we may issue good-faith credits at our discretion.
• Prices may exclude applicable taxes; you’re responsible for taxes in your jurisdiction.

4) Acceptable Use

• No abuse, reverse engineering, automated scraping, or attempts to circumvent quotas/licensing.
• No unlawful content or use that infringes rights or violates law/policy.

5) Data & Privacy

We do not export spreadsheet cell contents to our servers. The add-on may send a Google/Firebase user ID and token plus usage counters to our backend (Cloud Run) solely to check license/quota. External calls are restricted by a manifest urlFetchWhitelist to two endpoints. Details—including sharing, security, retention, and deletion—are in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

6) Availability & Support

We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Support: support@techspeckles.com.

7) Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify features, limits (including free-tier limits), pricing, or these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8) Intellectual Property

The Service, including code and branding, is our and our licensors’ property. You receive a limited license to use the add-on; no ownership rights are transferred.

9) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS, OR PROFITS.

10) Termination

You may uninstall at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, fraud/abuse, or legal reasons. On termination, licenses end and access reverts to Free.

11) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflicts of law. Courts of Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
